Izakaya Den is a well-recognised name within the food industry for its sleek, sexy, alluring and amazing testament to Japanese cuisine. Its lofty stool chairs and tables are rarely vacant.

In 2011 Izakaya Den engaged Treecreds to conduct an environmental audit of the venue in order to better gauge where the major source of greenhouse gas emissions were coming from. A carbon footprint was produced. As part of its initiative to offset these emissions Izakaya Den purchased small and large cardboard Christmas trees (embedded with avoided deforestation carbon offset) to decorate the restaurant at Holiday time. The trees not only served to offset some of their emissions but sent a discrete message to its clientele of its association with Treecreds and looked fantastic.
